The Land

Our land is an almost flat, 16x35.5m block in Mandalay at Beveridge.  The block is at the edge of the estate, which currently backs on to farmland.  The land was titled when we bought it, and the developer was offering a $15,000 rebate on titled lots at the time, which meant that we were able to upgrade to the 568sq m block (we had been looking at blocks in the 504sq m range).

There isn't really much to say about the block itself.  The Mandalay website says:

Away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to all the amenities and facilities a family could ask for. It's destined to be a vibrant, friendly community that couldn't be further away from the everyday, and it could be yours. It's not everyday you find a hideaway like Mandalay.

Away from the everyday will be an oasis with land for sale in Beveridge a wide range of home sites to choose from, a clubhouse full of facilities, a community hall, retail outlets and much more. Surrounded by lush meadows and dramatic views, a significant portion of home sites will also overlook the golf course's panoramic fairways and greens.

Yet this idyllic hideaway is just a leisurely 40 minute drive on the freeway from Melbourne, or a mere 10 minutes from Craigieburn and 5 minutes from Wallan, with easy access to public transport as well.

A conveniently-located community centre with two meeting rooms, a kitchen, store rooms, a general purpose room is planned. Adjacent to the community centre will be a kindergarten and maternal health care centre.
